SPECULATION

After the Fact, Endless Plain and While I Was Sleeping are not about specific locations or demographics. Instead the photographs become slices of time and space that are recontextualized in order to point to possibilities. In other words: these projects are works of fiction.

After the Fact (2018) imagines what some possible future might look and feel like.

Endless Plain (2021) shows a world that might emerge after After the Fact.

While I was Sleeping (2021) is a dream. Just before I went to bed I put a trail camera in various places near my house and retrieved it the next morning. That camera, with no intervention on my part, took the photos while I was sleeping.
